Some Questions About Gifts

Hello all, but this questions are directed to Klei team..

 

First of all I want to know if it's confirmed by you guys that we can get only four and no more gifts during one week. I'm of course talking about those boxes with skins that we can obtain by playing DST.

There are rumors that we can get only four of them and some peoples say that it's happening after spending a certain time on servers.

English DS wiki says:

• The first skin of the week drops after approximately 15 minutes of being on a server
• The second skin drops approximately 2 hours of being on a server after the first skin
• The third skin drops approximately 4 hours of being on a server after the second
• The fourth skin drops approximately 10 hours of being on a server after the third

I'm really curious about those skins so I'm making by myself some research and all informations which I was able to obtain from others peoples simply don't match my own observations.

Every time when I'm receiving a gift I'm making a quick SS. Sometimes I have all four gifts very fast, for example two or three in Thursday and the rest in Friday, but sometimes I'm struggling with one or two items until Wednesday. I'm always spending the similar time during a week in game, so is that really that so random or maybe something is wrong with my connection? There is probably more peoples which want to know how it really works. Don't make me wrong. There wasn't even single week when I wasn't able to obtain all four items but I want to know how much the truth is inside those wiki's informations.

And there is one more thing. During my research I was able to notice two strange situations. Once in November 2015 I've got 5 items from Thursday to Sunday. That breaks all the rumors about "OnlyFourByWeek" warranty. Also in this week I've got my 5th gift in a strange situation. I've got all my four gifts in Thursday and Friday but today when I start my game I saw a gift box waiting for me to open it. It did not appear during my first seconds on the server. It was there from the very beginning. I've talked with a friend about it and he says that he wasn't able to get his 3th and 4th items since today and when he start a game the gift box was ready to open just like mine 5th. Was that a bug or something? If yes then it was a very enjoyable bug, but if not then what was that?

I really want to know how big is the possibility to gain 5th gift and if it's impossible then why I was able to receive it the two times.

Its still the same system 4 Gifts per Week and this popping up when u spent a specific amount of time on a Server not Main Menu. What u talking about is that there is truly capped time limits but also from self notice and researching this time sets are randomly.
Lets say u have on the first Gift ur timelimit from 15 min. ur wiki Quote also says its approximately so u know it must be something around 15 min but can also +/- more minutes. Ur second timer shouldnt doesnt start until u opened ur first Gift after that the second timer starts here we have 2 Hours. But also here u have again the random approximately value it can also possibel that the Gift Server making sometimes a mistake and give some people the Gifts much more faster then other wrong calculate from the time etc. but generaly u should get the gifts approximately around the 15 - 2 - 6 and 10 Hour Limit.

What u faced today with the instanly Gift was a Bug the Klei Team was a bit revamping how the Gift Server handels the Gifts what specific no information about that but they Confirmed this changes makes them some new exciting possibilitys for whatever they have in their planning corner. But This change happend with a Bug that caused , that most people was tsucking this week on the Second Gift or the 4 one like me also was the Inventory filled with Gifts that doesnt even exist right now and u had some Ghost Objects filling up ur inventory.
But They already fixed this now and when u had the time played for the Gift u should get but didnt got it The game gave it after the Fix instanly to u i can confirm myself that because i had only 3 gifts this week but had the playtime for all 4 already done, after the fix i got my 4 gift instanly when i joined a Server.

Edit : and yes this Bug the week also caused some poeple getting 5 Gifts forgot that :^)

It has been confirmed 4 drops per week by devs in the past here, yes. Those present drop rates on the wiki are just rough estimations. in reality they are very, very random. 

There was a bug going around with the item server last week so some people got 5 drops, while others had theirs never appear at all.
