Help reducing number of birds :/

Hi, I know that once you generate the world, you cannot change the settings unless you regenerate the shard.

 

I really like my current world, and i don't want to get rid of it by regenerating. but I forgot to change the bird setting to rare, my regular. instead i put it to default.

 

I was wondereing if there is a way to change settings by modifying lua files in data folder.

 

I'm assuming you can reduce the number of birds spawning by modifying birds.lua or birdspawner.lua files in data folder.

 

it looks like there is some part of scripts in those lua files that could change what I want, but I can't be 100% sure.

 

can anyone help me? :/

Open the console, type

TheWorld.topology.overrides.birds = "rare"

and press enter, save and shut down the server and then start it back up again.
