overheating as the game starts

ive been playing dont starve shipwrecked for a while now, and this only started recently. the second i get into the first day, my character starts overheating. i even made a custom preset so that there is no dry season and that i start on the mild season. is this a bug or something im just not aware of?? is there something i can do to make it stop?

I had a similar problem with overheating in Adventure Mode. Despite there being snow on the ground I kept overheating. Granted, it was technically Autumn and not Winter, but it still seems strange that I was overheating outside of Summer with nothing around that could be increasing my temperature to that degree.

Perhaps it was related to the Thermal Stone I had, but it was cold and blue at the time... Also, dropping it didn't seem to alter my temperature that much
