Mudley
Just a random thought, because it seems completely pointless as they immediately go back to their bushes when dusk hits. Muche
Does the gobbler get hit by a tooth trap if it's placed right next to the berry bush? azukun
Gobbler can't hide in the same bush it spawned from, so there's some time to kill it. If it spawns, it does it in 3-6 seconds after berry was picked, so if you have a berry farm, you can grab a weapon that one shots gobbler (tentacle spike or fresh ham bat) and follow another player harvesting berries few bushes behind having ctrl-F pressed. But they will always prefer a bush which still has berries on it for their night shelter. Machine Reaper
its a simple mechanic to allow you to eat before night comes...and just wait beside an bush and when one pops out start punching, stabbing, slashing, poking it to death.. Seems like a very inefficient method to get food, you would have a much better chance by exploring the world than camping besides a bush and hoping RNGesus to be kind to you. I use it with 9 berry bushes and it can be a good way to get small sized meat...
