Kuirem Posted March 2, 2016 Share Posted March 2, 2016 So I was playing everyone favorite cook and innocently sailing around looking for new ingredients while I met this legend of the sea : The Yaarctopus. I have heard that he will give great booty for anyone able to give him some fine sea worthy food. As the greatest cook around I thought I will make him taste this famous french recipe : La Bouillabaisse! Qui pourrait y résister? I will probably have enough dubloons for a life time and probably some rare sailing equipment. I started sailing to find the freshest Mussels and the Tastiest Sweet Potatos. With my faithful companion, my Portable Crockpot, I made la plus exquise Bouillabaisse ever seen in those seas to give to the mythic creature. Can you imagine my surprise when the Yaarctopus did not only refused to give me the promised booty but also refused to taste mon merveilleux plat?! I gave this ungrateful a Lobster Dinner instead and used the Boat Cannon he gave me to drown him to the place he should never have left : Le fond des océans! TL; DR : Yaarctopus refuse to eat Mussel Bouillabaisse. Sacrebleu!! Quel blasphème! I know it differentiates between raw fish, cooked fish and Crock Pot fish, but what if Crock Pot recipes themselves were prioritized randomly? What if Mr. Ctopus here will give you better items for his favorite foods, but each time you generate a world the favorite foods are different? I do not think it needs randomness, it would be annoying spending tons of time each game to figure again what food you need to give him to get a Boat Lantern (or whatever). Also the item rarity/craftability is scaled with the recipe, California Roll is one of the easiest recipe and give Thatch Sail which is easy to make and Lobster Dinner give Boat Cannon which cost rare Gunpowder. I like as it is but it would be cool if Warly could get something with his special recipe : Feather Sail, Snakeskin Sail, Life Jacket, Boat Repair Kit...? There is a lot of nautical item that it could give.
