They left to go to sleep, I stayed on for a while, then I left to look something up, then when I rejoined it had wiped all of our progress, like starting anew. If there is ANY way to fix this please tell me because that would be really embarrassing if the whole thing is gone, also I was excited because winter had just started. Arcita Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 You mean you died and the map regenerated? Sorry but it's been deleted. The actual data will still be on your hard drive if it hasn't been overwritten yet, and you might be able to restore it with data recovery software if you care that much about it. GorkyMorkyGurl Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Exact same thing happened to me,JD... twice now... both times in Cooperative/Endless mode. The first time, I was hosting the server and I had just begun to fight a Dragonfly (I didn't die) and the game froze and disconnected... when I logged back in, all progress had been lost and we were back at Day 1 with no saved progress. I figured it was just a buggy thing, so I deleted the old server and created a completely new one for 'clean-slate' purposes. We began again yesterday (again I was hosting) and disconnected for a several hours to go to sleep. When I tried to log back in this morning, all progress had been lost and the server that I had created started back at Day 1. We were all alive and in good health when we logged off and had made quite a bit of progress so this is really disheartening. I also got the DST during the Steam sale and have been really excited about it... I'm hoping there's a way to recover the progress we made. PLEASE HELP! Hacsev Posted February 15, 2016 Share Posted February 15, 2016 I can confirm this as well. I was playing with some friends on a server I hosted temporarily over the last few days. Today I came up to check on it and all the progress was wiped. All players were still alive by the time we all disconnected. Can someone post some sort of guide to bring the server back? I noticed the patch changes said: You have separate save slots when Multi-Leveled Worlds option is enabled or disabled So I enabled Multi-Leveled Worlds and my world was there.
