We are currently working to address the recent issues introduced with the most recent update that is causing connection and performance issues on dedicated servers. Something that would help us greatly would be if those of you who are affected by these issues could provide us some information about the specs of your machines. Currently it looks like those who are running at minimum spec are unable to start a game because their computer cannot handle running the caves server, we are working on something for this right now; but we need more information to make sure we have everybody covered. As always we will update as we have more information. Thanks everybody, we apologize for any inconvenience. Helpful files: Spoiler Don't Starve Together Log File (log.txt) If you notice a critical error when playing Don't Starve together, close the game (to ensure that the log file gets fully written) and go into your Documents folder at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether and find "log.txt". Include the content of that file in your bug report. MDMP File If you are playing on Steam, it may be helpful to provide us with your .mdmp file. Sayboar Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I can start a server no problem but having others connect to me results in them receiving "Server not responding" message. My friend and I gave up trying to play after a couple hours of fiddling around. Later, with another friend, I created a public server instead of "friends only" and had her enter the password there, which allowed her to connect - but still results in lag for me as if I was playing a server even though I'm hosting it locally. The server startup time (world gen etc.) takes a long time to start (30-60 seconds now) compared to yesterday before the update (2-4 seconds). Kittyaao Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 I have the same problem as the one listed above, with the people connecting to my servers and them getting an error message "server not responding" issue. Single-player seems fine at the moment, haven't really gone exploring much though.
