Deeper character modding DST

So i followed the fantastic guide by Dleowolf and have my character and art and everything in game(DST). Now i want to get into more customization. Special abilities, custom items, etc. Is there a guide or forum for this?

There's not a lot of documentation on Don't Starve's scripts, but you can look at game and mod files of similiar things. If you need a nudge into the right direction or don't understand something important at all, you can ask for help here. Usually it takes less than a day to get a response.

Just like Mobbstar said - there are curently(and I think it's quite safe to say, that there won't be any) no tutorials specifically about ie. adding a fireball spell being able to be casted by a character. BUT! There are mechanics explained in tutorials that can lead you to it. All you need to do is read a little bit of explanatory posts, check out other modders' character files or in-game files(like Mobbstar mentioned), so you can come into a conclusion how to do it. It's not something very difficult. You just need some common sense

I've been working on setting up a tutorial/ template for speech_character and character script files since people seem to have trouble with the speech file especially. I can't help you with affecting sanity based on season/stats etc and more complicated coding like Woodie's transformation, WX's upgrades and Wolfgang's hunger, but I can help you with coding:

• dapperness
• health/sanity/hunger
• hunger rate
• hurt rates (hunger or temperature)
• damage multipliers
• friendliness with certain mobs
• speed
