Neu7ral
So. I'm editing some Wissphar thingies, And I saw the Damage Modifier was different on Shipwrecked, Now I have an problem, Snakes have 100 of health and the Long Spear does 37,4 on ground and 65,45 on water, Now, I see my attacks kill snakes at 2 hits, despite the Long Spear does 46,75 with Wissp Damage Modifier (1.25) Edited February 2, 2016 by Neutral_Steve fixed something xD Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63686-help-damage-modifier/ Share on other sites

Ah, Wissphar should deal 46,75 of damage with the long spear, but weirdly he can kill snakes with 2 hits. Yes the Long Spear is tuned to do 37.4 (without the damage modifier) When he's on land Edited February 2, 2016 by Neutral_Steve Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63686-help-damage-modifier/#findComment-716697 Share on other sites
Mobbstar
@Neutral_Steve you could try to use print() to put the damage value into the log. Knowing the exact value sure will help. That said, did you already do this? Is 65,45 the exact value? Because I have about no idea where that number comes from, other than maybe a strange multiplier. Don't know how to use print() :/ but the 65,75 value it's the Long Spear damage when the character it's on water TUNING.WISSPHARR_STRENGHT = 1.25 TUNING.LONGSPEAR_DAMAGE = 37.4 wisspharr.lua inst.components.combat:AddDamageModifier("wisspharr", TUNING.WISSPHARR_STRENGHT) longspear.lua local function onattack(inst, attacker, target) if attacker:HasTag("aquatic") then inst.components.weapon:SetDamage(TUNING.LONGSPEAR_DAMAGE*1.75) else inst.components.weapon:SetDamage(TUNING.LONGSPEAR_DAMAGE) end end Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63686-help-damage-modifier/#findComment-716728 Share on other sites
Mobbstar
@Neutral_Steve So? The long spear deals a lot more damage on water. That's intentional. Wispharr deals more damage than Wilson. What exactly is your problem here? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63686-help-damage-modifier/#findComment-716753 Share on other sites

Yeah, I know, that, But, Actually I'm talking about the on ground damage it's 37.4 * 1.25 = 46.25, But something is wrong, because can kill snakes on 2 hits, despite snakes has 100 Hp. I know the damage on water it's 65.45 * 1.25 Sorry if I explain bad :/ Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/63686-help-damage-modifier/#findComment-716758 Share on other sites
Mobbstar
Oh I see! My bad. Did you try damage-indicator or tooltip mods to get better insight on this? Thanks, I used the damage indicator mod, sadly It didn't had compatibility with SW, I just added to the modinfo.lua the true compatible lol. He does a LOT of damage. Neu7ral
@Mobbstar Ah! I found the problem, this new damage modifier it's something like this, 1 + 1.25, already exist the 1 mult, And I added 1.25 of damage, that means, The total damage of Wissphar it's 2.25, thats why the ridiculous damage. Thanks for your help this post can be closed.
