Trying to host the dedicated server but kept getting validating portal (nil)

Hi, I am very new in hosting DST dedicated server,I've tried many method  but I can't get the server work.

Hello @Vincent991 welcome to the forums. It seems like your master server is looking for the slave server, but there is no slave server running to be found. Are you simply selecting the Play Don't Starve Dedicated Server option when clicking the Don't Starve Dedicated Server? You just need to start up the cave's server too I believe, and the server would work.

Personally I do not have experience with using the Play Don't Starve Dedicated Server option directly and have only used the Run pre-configured Servers and my own set of server.bat files.
