Myfirstacc9 Posted January 16, 2016 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Currently some resources are way to easy to accumulate and/or some methods (which might not be always available) make farming some resources too easy. Gears: I have a chest full of gears because of the Floaty Boaty Knights. Possible solution: It is mostly caused by the Floaty Boaty Knight spawn rate. Reducing spawn rate and/or drop rate would probably fix the problem. (just ensure you dont reduce drop-rate too much since it could have undesired effects on early-game). Monkey island: Befriending a monkey and sending it to attack another group of monkeys causes a civil war. When an island happens to have many Prime Ape Huts, this can result in massive amounts of bananas, manure and morsel with minimal effort. Possible solution: Reduce the amount of Huts that are randomly generated. Prime Ape Huts farming by civil wars should remain a viable mid-lategame option, so disabling civil wars completely might not be a good solution. TheRebelFlesh Posted January 16, 2016 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Gears I definitely think the drop rate needs to be adjusted, perhaps reverting it back to 2 per knight. I don't really mind the spawn rate though. Before the devs changed some things around, I would go, like, 40 days without gears because I couldn't find the ONLY spawn point for Knights and didn't have the luck to find them in chests. OR New items that use gears could be implemented so that gears stocks would be depleted more quickly. People have been suggesting mechanical boats. Monkey Islands I think reducing the amount of monkeys that spawn on one island would be a good thing, but for a totally different reason. I've had islands so densely populated with monkeys that it causes major lag. I know other people have had similar problems, and have even had the game crash because of it. They're annoying to try and deal with directly and not especially intelligent, like you'd expect from something with a primary attack of flinging poo at you. It's not all that different from sending pigs to attack each other. You could make them smarter in that regard, but it's not very important, all things considered. Gears are kind of feast or famine, however. I either have none for ages or I'm swimming in them. This could be worked with via more things taking gears, or else they could just be reduced to the drop rate of Knights from the base game. As of yet, still not a big deal, but has an easy fix either way.
