danman Posted January 3, 2016 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I've been using the pre-configured servers to run my tandem overworld and caves, and everything is working perfectly. My only question is whether or not there is a way to load up a separate instance(separate slot?) instead of the main pre-config i'm using. I want to keep one world going and still be able to host another different unconnected world. After reading on a wiki it seemed possible by forcing steam to load from a different directory. I just wanted to throw it out on the forums and see if anyone else has done this or knows how. I'd rather not screw up my hard earned world trying to mess with things. UnderwearApp Posted January 3, 2016 Share Posted January 3, 2016 You can move the "save" folder to a backup location and start the server. It will make a new world. Replacing the save folder in overworld and caves in the future will return you to your world. Probably not the cleanest method, but it works.
