REALLY SUCKY BUG

So there's this really bothersome bug, when ever I pick up a pirate parrot after using a sleep dart on it and picking it up, I click on it in my inventory and POOF! It disappears. This really sucks because it makes the pirate parrots unobtainable. I hope you lovely klei devs will fix this soon. Thanks!

Same for me, I had the pirate parrot fix mod enabled. Haven't tried when disabled tho.

This also happens consistently when I eyeshot them (they should have 25 health, eyeshot does 20).

 

Edit: Actually happens for all birds collected this way, if I remember correctly.

Also, I caught one in my inventory and didn't click it to see what happens. I left it in my inventory, saved and quit, and then loaded my save again and the parrot was gone.

Hum. Weird. As far as I can tell capturing a bird with a traps works correctly.

 

Edit: I've made some tests.

 

A bird that has naturally spawned will disappear when clicked in the inventory after being hit by an eyeshot.

However if you spawn a bird using the console and then use the eyeshot, the bug won't occure.

A pirate parrot will lose its hat when in a birdcage, but there is a mod to prevent this.

 

Also, you can't murder a pirate parrot. Only inspect AND examine

This also happens if you hit a bird with a poison dart, and then you pick it up, and then you wait.

You can click on them safely until poison makes them reach a health threshold.

Then you get the 99% and disappear on click.
