Away from base in winter, help

hey everybody. so in the middle of winter, in was hunting some pengull, and being an idiot managed to get killed. luckily, i had a touch stone thing so i was revived, but now i have another problem. i was stupid enough not to leave any supplies at the stone, so now i am stuck a decent distance from my base with nothing and i will probably freeze if i dont come up with something. making a fire/firepit is a no-go, and i dont think i can make it to my base in time. anyone know of a way to save my best world?

Check the map, and see how long it will take you to find 3 grass and 2 logs. If you can't chop trees fast enough you can make a torch (2 grass and 2 sticks i think) and light things on fire. You will probably be able to withstand freezing for a little while depending on your character/any healing items you can find, so you may have more time than you think.

 

Which character are you playing as? I can advise further if you tell me.

If all fails you can cheat via the console I suppose.

But yeah, burning things with a torch is your best bet, freezing isn't that fast anyway.

One does not simply hunt pengulls. You are better off killing a deerclops. Next time use toothtraps if you are so desperate though.
