Is that a Bug ? Sandbags reaction with ice falling

Recommended Posts

Hey people, since the last update, when ice is falling from the sky and sliding trough my base with wind, they're One shotting my sandbag, One ice can destroy 4-5 sandbag or more.

If that's not a bug, it seems like a bit hard :wilson_hurt:

BTW: Repaire One sandbag need Two sandbag lol.

Thanks a lot ! :)

Hail mechanics are currently a bit bogus. Hail slides and does damage. Walls usually keeps them from sliding in the direction they want, so they slide alongside, hitting them multiple times.

Something similiar can happen for to your character, even when you are approaching from the opposite side of their slide direction.

Sandbag walls were indestructible a few days ago and now take damage like other walls. That's simply what changed.

And yes: repairing sandbags is "broken" atm.

That doesn't seem right, we'll take a look.

To be more clear, one piece of hail doesn't actually one-shot a sand bag. I think the problem is that every touch from a piece of hail causes damage, and that includes all the hail being blown around by the wind, ricocheting off other objects, etc. A sand bag can be hit by several pieces of hail all at once, and it will go from full to totally ruined in a second or two. Once enough hail piles up on the ground, then gets blown into a wall (any wall, not just sandbags BTW), then the wall will end up decimated in a few seconds. An entire base's walls will be wiped out in the first storm of hurricane season. The most ridiculous thing about it...the material doesn't matter. Stone walls, limestone walls. Wiped out in a day by the first storm of the season, all because of all the abrasive hail flying around, blowing across the ground, and striking the wall pieces repeatedly (as far as I can tell, anyway.)

Serious bug.
