Wall degredation in recent update - WAAAY TOO MUCH!

Glad to see this thread, because it is pretty annoying at the moment trying to build any sort of base protection.

 

As it stands, the concept makes sense, but the depredation needs to occur at much slower rate depending on the material being used.  Hay walls make sense to break down quickly.

 

Right now, stone walls and sand bags get destroyed in one day by hail, so it seems to be the hail mechanic if I'm not mistaken.

Came to the forums after playing today just for this type of thread. I spent a long time building a panic room of sorts with limestone walls (to quote Walani, "Now THAT'S a wall!") with tooth traps. The hounds came and they all died without touching me; it was amazing. And then a hurricane came and destroyed half the walls over night. I know hurricanes are pretty devastating IRL, but limestone and even regular stone should be able to stand some wind and hail. Hopefully they can tone down the destruction a little bit. It's a bummer having to build it all back up again.
