I just recently played SW for just an hours so maybe all of the new things in the SW may could be a question for me. Uhm, for example the machete can hack vines and bamboos , snakes appear from jungle trees and vines ..... and so on. So just list down what could a beginner like me should know in the WORLD OF SHIPWRECKED! I'll appreciate all your guides and tips! Fledge Posted December 9, 2015 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Read through the forum There's tons of topics as everyone here discovers the new world - just type in 'tips' or 'guide' into the search box and you can narrow down the threads which have lots of information about, well, everything! You'll be spoiled for choice. If you can't find the answer to what you're looking for, even when you've tried using a specific search term (e.g. Captain's Hat) then either post a new thread, or there is a Question and Answers thread which might have what you're after anyway. Remember the DLC is very new... we still don't know a lot of things. There's a thread around here called the "Questions and answers thread" before the Wiki had any entries. Like the name suggests, it's full of questions and answers, so it might be worth checking out. Now the Wiki has some things added, but the forums are still the best resource. Use the search function! Richie84 Posted December 19, 2015 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Here's a tip I wanted to share with someone. After you make your first boat, gather the materials for a second one and go ahead and create it and don't place it. This way you never get stuck on an island if you boat is about to break and the materials you need for a new boat aren't on the new island. Also, I just go to test this today and it seems if you are already in a boat and your boat is about to die, you can place the new boat in the middle of the ocean and hop from one boat to the next boat. Saved my butt when my durability was like 20 on my raft and I was taking on wetness fast with the new update.
