Magma biome question

So i decided to build my base in magma biome, close to those fire spitting geysers, question is are they effected by the wind? Has anyone noticed? i build pretty close to them but surrounded area with sand bags though im afraid that when wind blows they could burn all my grass and twigs

I build my first base in there and was afraid too.

 

Answer: Not affected by wind, you can literally build next to it with no danger. You can build closer than with a fireplace (with wood and grass)

Yeah, they're pretty much alternative free lightsource, just be carefull that the wind does not blow something inside it and burn everything

Yes this is really important. When I saw the wind push stuff I build walls around my base to prevent that and even then some walls can catch fire (sandbags ???)
