Super Duper Lag once Hurricane Season hits, Advice?

Recommended Posts

I've only just started playing SW but once Day 21-22 hit the lag was so bad I could barely play. Its especially bad when the hurricanes hit. (I'm assuming this is the hurricane season, from what I've read. I could be completely wrong.) Is this happening to anyone else and is there anyway to fix it? :/ I've only gotten to day 26 and I just couldn't play anymore it was so frustrating.

I am also experiencing the lag during the hurricane season and the game crashed a few times. The lag is not only happening in the hurricane season, but also the seasons other than calm season. The possible cause of the lag for each season is, the wave animation in hurricane season, flood animation in monsoon season, and the ash animation in dry season.

Hello,

I've got the same problem. The longer I play, the more laggs/worse fps I get. And once hurricane season starts, it often becomes unplayable. This is really annoying, since I'd really like to play this game. Restarting the game only helps for a few minutes.

I've got no mods activated and drivers are up to date, too.

I also think it's the animations, because it becomes worse in a forest in hurricane season or at the open sea.
There is no trick to get around this at the moment, I guess?

Normally when you start the game the list of active objects is small. As the time go by when you travel and explore this list grown bigger and bigger. It's ok till the rain fall, the game constantly check through the list and update their wetness status. Now with hurricane session, the list also update the chance on crash down (tree, pig house,.. etc.) and update their position base on the the strength of the wind. Restart the game reset the size of the object list so it'll reduce lag.

Hope this explanation will help you :pirate:

P/s: someone please correct me if I was wrong.
