Just thought I toss out somethings Floatin' about in my head.

 

Bamboo Bomb(s):  Somewhat Like the coconut grenade except in smaller blast and producing more.

Bamboo stalk, Gunpowder and vines.

 

Flamebomb AKA Molatov Cocktail: One empty bottle, Cloth and some kind of flamable liquid.

 

Sea Sponge: You fish these out of the Sea and use a Drying rack  on them. once they're dry use them during the flooded seasons to soak up the puddles. Bigger puddles mean more sponges. Once the sponge has hit maximum Soak take it to the drying rack and do it again.

 

A Shelter for the drying rack. Like the a Shelter you can make over the drying rack so that it can be used anytime.

 

A Grappling claw to pull up treasures from the Sea. Maybe add in like sunken treasures so that there is use for the claw.

 

Riding Sharks. This is a rather Farfetch idea than again they made it to where you could ride a Beefalo so who knows. Maybe put the shark to sleep and control it by making a Meat on a stick. This isn't something I thought of on my own. I remember Playing Pokemon alpha and notice you can use the shark pokemon to surf at a fast rate. This is just some fluff Idea.

 

A Wet suit: Make use of the Sea Sponge and blubber plus cloth to create a Wet suit that absorbs wetness and prevents you from getting wet.

 

I had more ,but I'm lacking the brain power to think what was the rest of it. I'll come back if I remember.

 

Feel free to criticize, comment, add in your idea or add to mine. either/or is fine.

 

UPDATE:

 

Moterboat engine. I recall reading this idea somewhere here or on the reddit So I give credit the Creator.

Costing rare items like gears, shark fins and something else to house the engine.

Duration 2 minutes. Travel at fast speeds but have less control on your boat's turning and take more Boat damage when you crash into a wave or Soar faster if you jump the wave.

I love the Sea Sponge idea and using it to soak up puddles. Nice one.

 

I think it would be a very welcome addition for many people.

I like the sea sponge aswell.  it could have a set number of uses and it'd be a rare find in the trawl net.

 

But i came to repost my BUCKET idea.

 

monsoon season would be taken care of by sandbags ( which needs work ) and bailing out puddles with a bucket.

capable of removing a single 1x1 square of water.

 

you would then have to dump in the ocean or they would create another puddle where you dump it.

 

possibly 1 coconut and 1 rope.

 

only say 3 uses tho because of its simplicity and reqs. the alc machine.

 

 

ps. you have to carry the equipt bucket to the ocean and you cant place it in your inv. if its got water in it.

 

if you get atkd while its full you drop the water creating a puddle.

 

(there could be an advanced bucket as well with different / better properties )

Maybe Sponge plus Bucket? Ring out the Sponge into the bucket. place sponge back on the ground if needed and dump the water into the sea/ocean.

that would make the sponge required.

 

which takes away from the idea a bit.  the bucket should be all you need (multiple ) and the sponge is just a bonus.    there are many items that work in this way.

...I'm pretty sure the blubber suit that is made with blubber does that already nice suggestion tho.
