[Suggestion] Water Pump Tech.

Recommended Posts

So I am not sure if anyone else has suggested this or not already. However I think it would be fantastic if we had an “Ice Flingomatic” equivalent that basically helped during the flood season. It would work at being just in between a wall segment; where it can pump out water in a small radius. It also has a secondary toggle switch for the direction the water needs to be pumped out. Or you could have a pipe extension system that hooks into a sort of water pump hub unit that can be extended out. One pipe would be specifically for the intake and another could be for the output.

As thinking about this idea I was wondering if we might also get some really expensive shield tech/magic structure to keep your base safe during the volcano season.

water pump please cause as of now I can't tell if turf affects where water spawns in flood season so if its just random dumb luck kinda lame that if a pond spawns directly on your alchemy engine or any other structures then TS gotta relocate or do nothing all season long.  Some way to combat flooding that unforeseeably breaches your flood protection or planning is needed cause if you're just lucky or not Im screwed cause im NEVER lucky

Yeah, that would be nice.

Maybe an outlet pump isnt even necessary, we can just assume it sends the water somewhere else.

Or maybe a special kind of turf that doesnt get flooded (that would be expensive or something), cause having to fence puddles in with sandbags is just terrible and if one just spawns right under your base there's nothing you can do. And the worst part are those annoying mosquitos that keep spawning.

I want a challenge, but a fun one. Being helpless isnt fun.

Add another vote from me.  Worked my butt off to get enough sandbags to build decent walls around my base, with fancy u-bend entrances, only to have a puddle spawn right under some drying racks next to my alchemy machine.  And once one of those spawns, there's nothing you can do to stop it from spreading.  Except maybe slap down some more sandbags, but that makes little sense inside a base and is wasteful besides.  Hammering a sandbag wall just produces a worthless pile of sand, so you're out the expensive cloth.

Some kind of drying mechanism, whether a pump or a matt or even a tarp or towel would be nice.  Maybe a tarp made of snakeskin, since I always end up with loads of those.

The only potential useful thing I noticed was that the puddle spawned on the small bit of ground that still had natural jungle turf.  Most of the rest of the base, excluding what was under the walls, was wooden flooring.
