Touch Stone and a few other things

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that (hopefully not) but I activated the touch stone and went out exploring, I died and when I resurrected there were no resources to build another raft for me to get out of there and neither food, there was like 1 stone and 3 grasses and that was about it. Had to delete the game because there was nothing to do and no place to go.

Also, I'm finding it to be a really, really, really difficult game, I mean, don't starve is already a hard game if you just started playing, but I've been playing for a reeeally long time, and I DO know some stuff and I get by rather easily, but ds shipwreck is making me lose my temper because it's so hard that it comes to the point where i just stay on sean rowing and trying to get to a island and it gets dark and i die because i have no light, no torch, nothing and I can't get past day 5, i mean, what even?

And one last thing: where are my beefalos and pigs at?? (or what it's supposed to be them)

I'm at day 11, I think; long enough to survive the first hound attack and grow a second level of beard which I then shaved off. While I've only explored three islands counting the one I started on and haven't seen too much of the new content yet beyond exciting new things to eat and snakes falling out of trees on me, I do have a crockpot and an alchemy engine built. I'm in no danger of starving, either; I have plenty of limpets and crabs.

Even in the vanilla game it's easy to get absolutely screwed if you resurrect at a touchstone but the surrounding area is too picked-over or naturally spartan to get the resources you need to survive the trip back to base. (Winter probably won't be a problem here in a tropical archipelago, but there's still Charlie, and hounds sooner or later, and eventually starvation.) What I do is dump some basic tools and resources next to the touchstone so I won't just die again or trap myself after I resurrect.
