SauceBoss123 Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Won't let me load into the server Issue Description: Every server i try to join just leaves me into the loading screen after i choose a character and it stays like that forever. Also the stats of the character appear on the right conrner of the screen with the loading screen stuck. Steps to Reproduce: I was just trying to join any server and after I choose a character it leaves me at the loading screen. I just tried to join a server with the same build version (main DST branch) and the game successfully let me into the server without any issues. I hope that fixes it, cheers. It is under Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether that should help diagnose what's happening here. Zillvr Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 @SauceBoss123, from the looks of it the game isn't rendering the HUD properly. Does it also occur when you host your own game? I don't know of any specific method to fix this, but if verifying the game didn't fix it. I'd recommend the follow:Close game.Verify DST's game cache.Close steam.Open steam.Open game.Join a modless server or host your own game.If adding a close and opening of Steam doesn't help at all, then the next thing I'll suggest is that you do a complete reinstall of the game. It's the only thing that I can think of that may fix the issue. Sorry if that doesn't help. Cheers. Zillvr Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 Hey again @SauceBoss123, I've been thinking about your issue for a while now. I don't want to get your hopes up, but I do also have an Nvidia GPU. I have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 and I can run DST smoothly. I'm not entirely tech savvy, but I think your issue arises from your GPU not loading the game HUD properly which we can see in the log files(unless I read the log incorrectly). Anyhow, I'm attaching my Nvidia Control Panel>Manage 3D Setting Information below, try and edit yours to as close as mine and try it again. It's currently around 2:00 AM at Klei's Offices, so I don't think the developers will be able to help any time soon. I just figured this may help fix your issue. I hope it works...cheers. Log files are attached by @SauceBoss123, but I'm not well-versed enough to figure it out. All my suggestions may have been entirely wrong too. Just hope there's a workaround for this since this seems to be a one-off kind of bug that I've seen so far. I don't know whether they are still experiencing this bug though. Anyways, that's all. Developer Ipsquiggle Posted December 4, 2015 Developer Share Posted December 4, 2015 Hey, I'm not entirely sure why this is happening, but here's something you can try: First, please make sure the game is not running. Then, go to your settings.ini in the Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether folder, find the line that says HUDSize = and delete that line. Save the file and try starting the game again.
