DST crashes each time I try to play or host a game

I open the game, click play and connect, then join (or create) a game, and each time DST crashes, so I have to exit the game. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and check the game cache, but everything seems ok. I have uploaded the screenshot of the game crash report. Please help me

Try verifying the game files via steam (If you haven't already). I had the same issue and that seemed to fix it for me.

If that doesn't work I don't know how to help you beyond that.

I verified the files and it still doesn't work

This might be a permissions issue. Sometimes a user account doesn't have permission to write to the documents folder (especially after upgrading windows or creating a new account).

 

You could try running the game as an administrator account  and see if that works. If it does, that means it is indeed a permissions issue.

 

In that case, you'll have to either

a) always run the game as an administrator, or

b) using the command line options, change where your save folder is, you can do that like so:

 

1. Right-click on Don't Starve Together Beta in Steam and select Properties
2. On the General tab, select Set Launch Options
3. In the text box that pops up, type -persistent_storage_root c:\some\folder\of\yours
4. (Of course, choose a folder name where you know your account can create files, such as the desktop for your account)

Let us know if that solves it or not, or if those instructions aren't clear!

I tried to run the game as administrator, but when joining a game comes out the same error as always, so I texted that line in the launch options, but unfortunately the result doesn't change. Any idea?

Hmmmm could you try doing it again, and then post your logfile here after the crash? (My documents\klei\DoNotStarveTogether\log.txt)
