addams013
In the past couple of levels, I've tried to close a door that seemed to be outside the guards' visible range according to the tactical view (though it was in the direction the guard was looking), and the guard noticed. Are the rules that make a guard notice a door different from the rules that will make him notice an agent sneaking around during the player's turn? Developer Jason Posted August 20, 2015 Developer Share Posted August 20, 2015 Guards can see doors next to tiles they can see. Tiles that are blind spots are still visible to the guards, but they have a space that the agent can hide in by ducking. Imagine a guard looking over a desk and seeing a door behind it. There can be an agent behind the desk he doesn't see, but if the door opens, he'll see that. Basically, doors don't hide in blind spots.
wwarnick
Okay, I wondered the same thing. More than once, I've done that and wondered how the guard saw it. But that makes sense. Nice to know that it's intentional and not a bug. Thanks Jason!
addams013
Yeah, that explanation is consistent with my experience, if I'm remembering correctly. Thanks!
