pickleplayer
Okay, so I've been hard at work on this mod for a while now, and as it's nearing completion, I'm starting to realize that I don't even know how to balance the stats for this, since I don't even play this game that much. Can I get some more experienced players to suggest some stats and tell me if what I have is balanced?Feel free to suggest different numbers to use between the brackets [ ].This is what I have so far: *This character has an attack that scares away monsters. It does no damage, and makes a single monster run away from you for [4] seconds. It gives you [10] health, drains [15] sanity, and has a [30] second cooldown before you can use it again. *This character also gets hungry [20] percent faster. (note; there are other perks too, but these are the main perks I'm worried about balance-wise)So, how much will that hunger penalty affect the game? For a noobie like me, 20% faster starving seems like a really big deal. But I've seen some character mods with a whopping 40% faster hunger drain, so maybe faster hunger drain isn't big enough of a downside. The attack my character has is supposed to fill two different purposes;-To be able to "hunt" for health at the cost of sanity-To be able to get away from a creature you'd rather not fight and IT DOES WORK ON BOSSES, but it's hard to abuse it because it only gets you 1 or 2 seconds of free hits on slow bosses before they can start attacking again. So, what are your thoughts on this? Is his ability too powerful? is 20% faster starving a super harsh penalty? I could make it so that using his ability in rapid succession without waiting a long time uses up more sanity. Also, should it aggro passive creatures?
