CPU usage, and what specs do you have for your dedis?

Hi!

 

I'm running a dedicated server on a machine with an E3-1231 v3 CPU and with 10 players connected, it can hit 100% usage on a thread. 

 

I think that CPU should be able to handle more players, it's single thread performance isn't too shabby. Will the dedicated server be optimized in the future in regards to CPU usage, or will I have to look for a better machine? I guess the next step would be an i7 4770/4790 or an E3-1241/1271 v3.

 

And a question to others who are running dedicated servers, what are the hardware specs of your machines and how many players can they handle?

 

I see servers with 20+ slots, what CPUs are the owners running them on?

i have also server dedicated and with this specs:

 

Debian 8,Intel Xeon W3520, 24Gb, 100Mbps,2 To HDD

 

the problem is DST server don't use multithreading

 

so that's why you have one thread on 100%, don't worry i have same with my Xeon

 

we have already trying to multithreading with a one dev but unfortunately it's causes crash on servers

 

so you can just help devs for try to make profil for better optimization of server:
