A quick dumb question

Recommended Posts

I bought Don't Starve and RoG before Together came out, and now I have a game called "Don't Starve Together Beta". Is that Don't Starve Together? So if I buy 2 copies of Together, send them to my friends, I'll also be able to play it?

I'm a bit confused, since I never paid for Together, but seem to have the game in my steam library

Yes and Yes. DST was given for free to prior owners of DS on June 3rd. If your friends also owned DS prior to June 3rd, they should have DST in their Steam libraries as well. DST is still currently in beta/early access, which is why it's named that way.

Also- sorry for the double post, but is RoG also for Together, or exclusively for the singleplayer version? Would we need to buy the singleplayer game inorder for the Together to work or?

RoG content is included in Together, although there have been some tweaks to giants, mechanics, etc. No, people do not need to own singleplayer DS or DS/RoG in order to play Together. They're 2 separate games now.
