Having more flowers around your bee boxes increases honey productivity. Also, all flying mobs naturally go over walls, like bees, glommer, dragonfly, mosquitos, the stuff. In any case, that is irrelevant to OP's bug, which I have reproduced. Just build some bee boxes with walls nearby and after harvesting honey the bees will chase you. After which some will linger and just hover in one spot together indefinitely, even during night. The only thing that they will move for is if stand on top of them, they will attack you and reset to their normal routine.
