Help--null drones

So my first day 2 mission had me going up against Sankaku in a lvl 3 guarded area or so.

 

I had a door to a big room with a null drone patrolling in it. There were multiple cameras and a camera drone too.

 

Firewalls were already pretty big (2-3) and I hadn't found any upgrades to my lockpick algorithm.

 

So, how do I deal with this? I didn't have enough power to hack the null drone and the other camera stuff. I tried running through and then there was another null drone, more cameras, etc.

 

Would have needed crazy amounts of power to deal with it, and I just didn't have it... is there anything I can do in that situation?

Shoot drone down (Sunkuku is good reason to buy lethal weapons sometimes), EMP it (EMP required), sneak (Stealth Rig required or Subdermal Cloak + Stim, can help to EMP it), EMP it with Dr. Xu's EMP hand (Stealth Rig can helps with it too), lure it somewhere where Null-field is not cover cameras (radius of Null-field can be seen in Incognita view, when cursor is behind Null-drone)

All drones can be pinned just like guards. If you can lure the null drone to your agents, you can hack it, pin it, then it won't be able to reboot, and you can gain more power to continue your hacking of other devices.

Nice tip! I didn't know downed drones could be pinned.

You can also steal from them, though it kills them and incurs a small cleanup cost.

Stealing doesn't kill them. You get 1-2 free PWR, that's all. Scanning amps are disabled if you loot them but there is no penalty at all in doing so.

Likely EMP. Camera drones will say in their mouseover-popup that they are EMP Vulnerable. On higher difficulties, they also have EMP protection, so it's a little bit iffy how the two interact (such as when the drone is rebooting).

EMPing out a camera drone with EMP protection first breaks the firewalls. Not until firewalls are lower than 2(or when rebooting) will the drone be destroyed, to clear that question out.

Null drones aren't killed by EMP anyway, only camera drones.
