aph1 Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Game crashes after re-launching server (since 11/05 update) Issue Description: After last update, the game crashes as following: I can start a new server and play until i disconnect and save my world. The next time I want to re-launch my game, it crashes (see screenshot below). I started a new game, disconnect it for a few minutes and when trying to go back, it crashed again. Tried it 3x, keeps crashing and i'm forced to delete the slot and restart (and lose it again as soon as i disconnect). HOW ??? Re-launching a save slot works if it's not passed day 1. As soon as it's day 2 or further, it crashes. I really enjoyed the game and was about to go for serious times with 4 friends, but it's unplayable now and i tried everything i can. Many thanks for feedback ! Dave0522 Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Cancelled my dedicated server because of this. It happens each time the game updates and backing up your files doesn't help. Download and edit the save file located in ServerFiles\DoNotStarveTogether\save\session and look for any characters that don't belong (I found mine at the very end of the file). Re-upload to session folder and it should be fine. Once the server was up I had to return to the character screen but the World Day (500+) and all structures I built remained intact. You just have to re-explore the map again. Hopefully this works for you as it did for me. If yes then take a look at this topic and see if it helps you.
