Joopac
WOW! Just amazed by the final build! First I finished in Expert mod with Decker(New name! Wonder why thought?) and Internationale because it seemed more fitting to the cinematics and THE FINAL MISSION! It was crazy when I first got into the OMNI CORPS(the LEEK post gave me some hints, but to see them for real was totally different! and when the Countermeasures were online, man I felt my blood go cold because I was so freakin' nervous! The first time I beat the final mission was utterly amazingly fun because I had not expected to see the guards with more than 3 armor and all that! It wasn't easy, but I managed to get everyone alive at the first try. But Expert Plus was totally hilarious. I kept running into guards idly standing behind the pillars, and boy was I startled to be caught! Even in Expert mode I seldom get seen by the guards unless I intend to, but the inability to foresee the danger zone was... I saw the idea in the forum but I never imagined Klei would implement it! and I totally loved it! I had to plan my moves a lot more cautiously and still I would stumble onto death's door. The Expert Plus run was a huge blast because I get to run with my favorite agents! I started out with in file Dr. Xu(with less starting power, his unfair advantage was a must. I couldn't imagine running without him) and Archive Nika(it was actually just for trying out, and I don't think I really felt more benefit. I think the harder the difficulty, the more you get to rely on combat. In this sense, I prefer the in file Nika, because having two attacks can really save lives). I ran into three Detention Centers, and two of them had agents! I get to use Banks and Internationale, and this is actually the dream team that I would play in the early access build(Although as I said before I like in file Nika better. Great alternate suit though!). As a four-agent run, it was really difficult to have all the crew equipped, but fortunately I ran into a Flurry Gun and a Neural Disruptor 3(By the way, I really like most of the balancing of items, because now none of the item is super OP or really useless.). Then I saw this EMP Mk. 3 and I was so tempted to buy it since it would complete the collection of Hacking Master with the Portable Server Mk. 3. Eventually I bought this and I was confident to get enough credits by visiting the FTM vault just before the Final mission... and I went through a real hell hole. Two Barrier guards repeatedly took down Nika, who was my best agent with Anarchy tools, and even though I had the miracle to run into a med gel in a safe, Nika had to be dragged out. After about at leas an hour and a half long, mission, I managed to empty the whole safe and get all the four agents out safe and this was really really hard. Killed 5 guards, used up all of the ammo of Hand Cannon. In the end, I jumped into the Final mission with Dr. Xu augmented with Piercing Scanner and armed with Flurry Gun, Nika with Penetration Scanner and Disruptor 3, Internationale with Portable Server and EMP Mk. 3(which turned out to be not very useful in the final mission...), and Banks with an empty Hand Cannon. I made a mistake of taking too long to get Monst3r to the hacking console, so I lost Nika and Banks, but I finished the first Expert Plus run with success. Regarding the plot of the Invisible, the dystopian atmosphere and Incognita's calling out for 'mother' reminded me of the darkness of Don't Starve. It was a cool story, and I am sure there will be a sequel or an expansion pack for the strike back of Central and the Operator, right? In sum, thank you, Klei, for this awesome game and I really loved it! Sphingx
You know that part where Gladstone walks down the corridor to install Incognita? That really reminded me of Don't Starve. I was half-expecting to see a gramophone playing the Bazaar muzak somewhere XD Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/53715-expert-plus-beaten-spoilers/#findComment-635938 Share on other sites

HolyDeath
Yes, lack of vision while not seeing the source was really tricky. I almost lost the Expert Plus run during my 2nd-before-final mission, but luckly the elevator was close and I managed to evacute in time, although without the site plans I needed to find better hacking tools. On my last regular mission I was lucky enough to grab a couple of basic programs (Daemon Hunter and Parasite, I think). I was running with Fusion and Reaper the whole time, so that really did hurt me... Thankfully I managed to win Expert Plus despite that major setback. Good thing the Mon3ter could move away from the console and be hidden from enemies while hacking. It was really hard with only 2 characters (Central and Mon3ter).
