So I'm Trying to make a character, but the art files arent compliling.
It also causes a crash if i remove the zip files form the /anim folder.

I folowed the steps listed.
http://forums.kleientertainment.com/files/file/950-extended-sample-character/
http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/46849-tutorial-using-extended-sample-character-template/

but I'm still stuck.

Any one how to manualy compile the art for Dont Starve Together?
because runing the auto compiler in the dont starve mod tools does not work with DST... unless im using it wrong.... witch is also posible.

Help Im starving for anwers.

@DerpTime, there currently exists a bug where other mods might be causing the autocompiler to fail, and then never getting to your mod. The workaround for this is to remove all other mods from your DS and DST mods folders, and then run the game (which runs the autocompiler).

You'll also want to check that in your settings.ini file, in the [MISC] section, to make sure that autocompiler_enabled=true.

Thanks, I'll give it a try tomarrow.

Still doesnt work.
But found a work around.

If i take the DST mod and toss it in the Mod forlder for DS mod folder.
Then run the Autocompiler manualy from the DS Dev tools It makes the Animation Zips.

Then move it back to the DST mod folder and it works.

Any ideas why the compiler might not be working from the DST folders?

@DerpTime, that's peculiar. Do you have a custom DST installation directory?

Yes, Dont Starve and DS Mod Tools are both on my C:dive in my original steam folder.

And DST is installed on my steam game drive. [1tb of steam game]

Is there a file that can be edited to point the compile?

If not i think linking the folders in comand promt might do the trick.

but would rather not do that. dont like to link folders that way unless its the last option.

I've tried both methods listed here, and I'm still getting errors when trying to compile the images. I'm using the Extended Character Mod. Is there any other way to get them to compile and make the mod work?

If you want you can toss the files here and we can take a look.

Also when you renamed the character with "Find in Files" did you also rename all the folders and file names with esctemplate in the name?

I renamed everything with the character name, except for the esctemplate_cleared folder. I attached a .zip of the mod I'm trying to get to work, if you wanna see if you could help me? Thank you!

Ahhh I suspect that is the issue. I believe the tools require that the DS Mod Tools be installed to the same Steam directory as the game you want to compile the mods for. As a workaround, you can try copying the DS Mod Tools folder to your steam game drive, so that the DS Mod Tools folder is next to the DST folder.
