Lately I have been roughing it out though on the pc trying to unlock the characters for that version of the game. I had everything I needed 4 drying racks ,a crock pot, a trap line set up, bird cage, you know the works but not the ice chest (couldent find gears). Anyways I was saving the pig village for around day 25 that way I could harvest the mass barry farm. Though piss curse my luck a mass gobler spawn happened while i was picking berries and they were as locusts across fields. (I didn't have a boomerang at the time and could not harvest the turkeys) The fields never grew back after that nor did any of the berry bushes for that matter. Anyways; since my berries were gone; I was relying on my traps and got maybe one or two morsels a day . Around day 35 I was close to starving since my reserve food was gone. I had one morsel and the dearclops showed up at night. So I equipped my log suit and football helmet and made a campfire. My backpack burst into flames and I ended up getting killed by the dearclops. Such a good run until those damn birds showed up! XD I rage at that I rage real hard at those birds. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Zillvr Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Yeah, gobblers are a pain if they spawn in large numbers. If you rather not deal with gobblers at all, just pick the berries during dusk or night time cause gobblers won't spawn and run out to eat the rest of your berry bushes during dusk and night. applebottom Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 I saw a random player do this in DST: Put berries in ground near your berry farm, surround with grass walls. The Gobblers that spawn from the bushes will run towards the berries on the ground. They'll get stuck outside the walls, trying to run in, and you can murder them. I was in and out of camp though so I didn't notice how often that person punches the walls to put more berries in, since it rots after a couple of days... The strategy to take them down easily is pick 1 berry, and drop it in the floor (ctrl+clic to just drop 1 if you have them stack) close enough from your berry farm. The goobler when spawn, would run aimlessly around for a few seconds, but then would walk quite fast to the berry dropped, while walking in this "focus" state, you couid easily hit him (he would not ran away when hit in this state!), just be fast, cause immediatly after eating the berry from the floor, he would start running to your berry farm and wreak havoc as always (for an more easy way, dropped 2 or 3 berrys separately from each other). If the goobler spawns from a far away berry bush, and he doesn't see your berry in the floor, circle around him and make him ran towards the berry.
