@zerelf, Hmm, no, if it's only getting that far in the log, then there's a deeper problem. Appears to be the same deal as these guys were having, so I think the devs are on it... probably fixed next patch.

Edit: By operating system I mean Windows/Linux/Mac.

@bizziboi, Two friends of mine are in the same situation, but they have a different behaviour each other.

The first one, when she launches the game, it freezes without reaching the DST's "welcome screen". I attach her log.txt and her dxdiag.txt.

The second one, when he launches the game, it doesn't do anything. I can see the Steam notification as if he has launched the DST, but in his screen nothing happens. In this case, the log.txt only show 4 lines:

I'll upload his dxdiag.txt in a few minutes.

I hope this info can help you.

Regards.

@Carlitoxx, The first one, with the long log, needs to delete the contents of her mods folder (go into game files through Steam). Opening the mods menu in game afterwards will redownload the mods with fixed versions (assuming the authors fixed them, which they probably have by now).

The second one with the short log looks like the other mystery problem, so can't help with that.

@Carlitoxx,

Pretty much what @rezecib said.

For the second issue, we are investigating, but it seems we need more logging to see what can create issues that soon after the game starts - we'll hopefully know more after the next update.

I'm sorry, it was my fault. I uploaded the log.txt with all the mods enabled... but we tried to unsuscribe from them, delete them, and run again the game, with the same behaviour (honestly I'm not sure if the error registered in the log.txt was the same, but the game did the same).

It's not my intention to mix different problems, but in her case, the problem appeared after last game update, so I'm pretty sure it's related with this update. We have been playing DST together till febrary 23th .

I'll try to ask her to unsuscribe again from all mods, delete them, run the game and get again her log.txt.

I couldn't talk with my other friend to get his dxdiag.txt, so I'll try to do it throughout the day.

Thanks for your answer!

@Carlitoxx, You don't have to unsubscribe. The only time subscriptions matter is when you open the mods menu (that's when it checks subscriptions and downloads/updates mods). Once they've deleted the mods from the mods folder, if it's still crashing, the log should say something very different, so could you upload one after that?
