Absence of certain type of mob on a map, is it a bug ?

Hy.

 

I'm currently playing on a map with almost default setting (set piece are on more and killer bee on less but that's all).

 

There is no tallbird and no volt goat on the world. I've explore all the surface world and check with console command to be sure.

I believe i've seen on occasion map without tallbird in the past but never without volt goat.

There is two desert and two rocky biome, all of good sizes so I wonder if it's a bug or not.

 

I have no idea if it is related to the absence of volt goat but i did find a set piece with a morning star next to a skeleton (with a 100% log suit and moggle).

 

I know that element like killer bee hives are not on every map (but they have no specific use), on the other hand there is a bug with the pigking not spawning if his biome is too small.

So i really don't know wich is it...

 

If you have an answer, I'd appreciate it.

A lack of either is rare, but possible. There's even reports of a lack of pig monarchy...

Anyway, I decided to start a new game and there is a bunch of volt goat so yeah (?).
