I had the same problem as yours but if you try Inkscape and start learning a bit about it, you'll be able to get not a perfect but VERY good DS quality ! With this program you can add different layers so Outline, Colors, Shadows and Lights, details etc... this is very helpful in making you get down to the level of DS drawing !
