Hi everyone. I have a small(?) request for a mod. I was thinking about trying to do it myself, but I know absolutely nothing about modding and I don't have a lot of spare time right now to try and learn.

Basically, my idea is the ability to "plant" manure or other fertilizers in a grassy area and have 2-3 flowers pop up in a small radius after a day or so. Or, if that's not possible, even 1 fertilizer for 1 flower would be acceptable for me.

I just want some way to add flowers near my base.

If a mod like this already exists, I haven't been able to find it, and I'd appreciate someone pointing me to it. Thanks for reading this.

I don't know if you already knew this, but I'll say it anyway. We have a way to replant flowers. To do so, you would have to do the following:

  • Craft the Bug Net found under the Survival Tab.
  • Equip Bug Net on hand and catch Butterflies with it.
  • Left-click the caught Butterflies.
  • Right-click on ground to plant new flowers. Much like how you plant pinecones for trees.

Though having other ways to regrow flowers in the world would be nice. Since nowadays flowers gets more rare the longer servers are Active. Hope that helps.

Extra: How the heck can Butterflies be planted for Flowers? Open the second spoiler to see.

Maybe someone can add a craftable "flower pot" (under "structure" tab).

Add manure or rot in then add seed - and it will produce a flower.

Picking the flower (harvesting)=adding a butterfly to inventory, not petal.

Pot will produce another flower in x days until y days (then you'll have to refertilize the flower pot).

Kind of like farm/improved farm but not one seed=one produce.

I'm still a pretty new player, so no, I had no idea about that. Thanks!

I still think being able to use fertilizer to grow flowers would make sense though.

Another way to have flowers respawn is to catch and relase bees near flowers. For every 6 flowers they pollinate they will produce 1 flower. It uses the same calculations as it does to produce honey. Only homeless bees produce flowers.
