I have filled up all my world slots for hosting games (again XD) and I can't remember what the story is with each world, to maybe delete one so I can start a freshie- would it be possible to have the saves list scrollable and expanded to allow more instances? I might not want to lose all these different world outcomes for records and later amusement Also it would be really awesome if we could perhaps save an image snapshot of our player in the world (or perhaps the science machine area, if applicable so we will generally be screenshotting the base) when we close the server down, to be used as a World Preview when in the Host menu? It would be brilliant to be able to tell what your save looked like before loading it all back up again and walking around! rezecib Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 @outseeker, I'm all for having a way to save notes about a world (sometimes the title and description are not enough to jog my memory). I like the screenshot system you suggest-- if it automatically saved a snapshot when you exit out, that would be pretty handy. Might not help if you're standing in the middle of nowhere, but I'd imagine I'd get the hang of heading back to base before I exit if it were implemented. As for the other thing you're asking for, there's actually a really nice mod that gives you a scrolling list of 50 save slots. If the mod gets disabled, they're still there, you just have to re-enable it for them to show up. Personally, though, I agree with you. There doesn't seem to be any good reason (other than not having nice scrollable lists, which we now have in DST) why we shouldn't officially have a scrolling list of save slots. It wouldn't even be that hard to make it an infinite list that's always 1 larger than the number of saves you have. outseeker Posted January 20, 2015 Author Share Posted January 20, 2015 @rezecib, Regarding the middle of nowhere screenie, I was thinking maybe get proximity of player to a major base item, such as a science machine and capture that instead if the player is too far away to illustrate what the base looked like at all. It's funny, I totally don't remember seeing a mod to do that yet I do seem to recognise the icon XD Thanks mate, I will use that right now! *edit* Oh shaith yes!
