Speedfreakz Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 First of all, i want to say that i really love the game and i registered just cause of simple reason, i want to help make it better. I was a huge fan of terraria and i think this game can do much more than terra in everyway and especially now since it is on its peak. Right now the game just does not offer a lot of content. here are my suggestions, opinions. Blowguns : Too much dmg, too much hassle to make.Why not reduce the dmg of them and instead you need to make on blowgun, then all you need is to have stinger,charcoal or teeth to make additional ammo. Map: Can you add minimap please, i know there is a great mod for it, but i would love to have it as an official ingame. Additional slots for each body part would be nice, so when i put armor on me my backpack doesn't fall on the ground. Add more enemies please, and for godsake remove that fire hounds, where on earth did you got inspiration for them? They are so OP for new players, even for me if they catch me unpredictable, i learned to deal with them but they suck and its a fact.If you want to burn our base there are other ways to do it, not just stick fire to a hound lol. Make meteors have ground X impact spot 2-3 secs delay so we can see where they will land, give meteors to drop stone, and chance to drop gold, etc...Meteor shield building would be nice too, i know many will say you cant build meteor shield its stupid, but its not..if you can run refrigerator without electricity why not shield. Don't let that turkeys just appear out of nothing in our berries, at least add some logical mechanic behind it. Since i have wall around my berries bushes and they appear out of thin air. On a note to that, make walls more useful. Adding info on mouseover some food/items of how much hp/sanity/dmg etc will provide us would be nice, since i spend like 1/3 of my gameplay ****-tabbing to wiki to find out info. I mean i can literally sit here for days writing this but so far these are my biggest concerns. I really want this game to be big, i enjoy playing it with my gf and friends so please consider adding, adding, adding more content. Most blow darts consist of 2 cut reeds (easily found from swamps) and then two unique items based on what type of blow dart you're making. For instance, the stock blow dart does 100 damage, and takes two reeds, one tooth, and one snow feather to create. To put this in perspective, the strongest melee weapon, the dark sword, does 68 damage, and the dart is ranged! Ranged weapons aren't supposed to be something you have masses of in this game, that's why most of them are either very weak, or annoying to craft. Not to mention, for some computers this can cause a lot of lag, so it's not the best for everyone. It takes a lot of challenge out of the game when you can equip an amulet, armor, and backpack all at once. Summer is supposed to be difficult, if you don't have a way of dealing with fire by then, you aren't going to have a very good time regardless of fire hounds. Also, it is not a fact that they suck, it is your own opinion. You are free to have your own opinion, but don't expect anyone to care about it, and do not assert it as fact. And yes, there are plenty of ways to set your base on fire. Be thankful only the dragonfly and fire hounds can do that. No. Does Nuclear Throne tell you exactly how much damage a gun will do to a certain enemy? No. So why should Don't Starve, a game based around learning how everything works as you play, do it? Well, that should fill my daily quota of shooting down suggestions. Turkeys are really easy to kill - once you figure out how. I love finding that pig village when it has 30 berry bushes, super easy 10 meatballs right there. This over-Wiki'd playstyle ruins rogue-like games, in my opinion. I played single player with my friend (we played at the same time on our own computers) and we agreed to refuse to help each other, so we could both have the fun of learning how everything works. That's the fun of rogue-like, learning from your mistakes, making your own discoveries, feeling the accomplishment of learning how to do it by yourself. Along with the frustration of dying 500 times. The Fire hounds he is talking about come in autumn. Your point still stands, mostly, but just wanted to point out. It isn't just "let's add a monster that looks like THAT". Roles are added to monsters that were previously made, Monsters are added to fill these roles. Your point still stands, mostly, but just wanted to point out.My bad, Other than the meteors bit, this could be directed towards either standalone or DST.
