It is pretty fun! I have only played like an hour or so, but it is awesome. I sadly died during the night by some invisible tree? I was in my fire area so idk why it killed me. :S

Are there any guides on like items, npcs, and such?

first off, i think the tree was burning,you died from fire damage.

guides? well there are wikis, but this game is about discovering. have a wiki by your side, or learn from your mistakes. you chose.

(p.s. i prefer to have a wiki always ready. call me a wimp :S )

Most likely. This is unfortunately a bug that was introduced with todays update, the devs are looking into it right now to see what makes it spawn invisible.

It was probably the treeguard that killed you; now with the new patch it's invisible. It attacks you for destroying nature. There's a few ways to defeat him, and a tip is - do the reverse of what you've done. Welcome to the game.
