So, now that I have reached the current maximum level, and achieved many of my own goals within the game, I wondered if we couldnt perhaps see an overall day counter?

Although I love playing the game, I personally enjoy feeling like I am accomplishing something, once you have reached the stage with 10 meat effigys and an endless food supply, really it feels like there is little to do other than make your own games up, which I have already done on countless occasions, I figured adding in a counter that would track how many days you have ever survived would at least give people (me) the satisfaction of feeling like they are working towards something, even if that something is nothing...

I'd like to see more stats in general such as my total deaths and what to, my kills, how much i've eaten, treeguards disturbed, etc, etc.

I've always been very pleased with games that provide me with very indepth statistics, gives me stuff to work towards I suppose. (I remember grinding critter kills in WoW just so I could say I had more than anyone else in my guild of critter serial-killers.)

Yes, an old suggestion that keeps resurfacing is the request to be able to have our statistics recorded and displayed for us. The oldest suggestion involved a journal (i.e. use for papyrus) that stored the map and had a page devoted to your statistics. So you could see everything that character had done while alive, and a ghost stat that compared your current progress with that character against past games (it would disappear the moment you surpassed it, for example "Days Survived" might show as 34 Days, and next to it would be a red text "35 Days", as your previous record, but once you reach 35 Days and beyond that red text value disappears).

Loving this idea, as the most important stat I want to know is highest amount of days survived in one game, so I have something to reach for and try surpass.

Question: Do you guys feel that these "high scores" should be shared between all the characters or should they be unique to the current character. For example, do you think Wendy's "Days Survived" score should be kept seperate from Wilson's "Days Survived" score... or should the highest score between all characters be displayed no matter which character you are currently playing?

I think the coolest way to do it would be to have an overall stat page that combined all characters, as well as a seperate page for each character, as far as days survived goes:

Total Days Survived:

Total Concurrent Days Survived:

As I will often switch characters depending on what I am up to, each of these could be applied to the individual's character page, as well as the overall page which would ignore character selection and simply show you the Highest number of concurrent days survived.

How about a combined statistics page that uses colour-coding to indicate which character achieved the current high score record? I think the fly in the ointment with individual scores is the fact that players can switch characters using the tent. So rather than playing an entire game as Wendy, then dying, and having her scores... scores would change from character to character in the same game.

Not sure it's on topic, but I personally don't think the player should be allowed to switch characters mid-game. The tent should have a new purpose, like sleeping and adding your collected XP to your total XP (to see whether you've unlocked any new characters, without needing to die first).

Unfortunately Mobius even with the new amulets I fear that Wilson's ability to create meat effigys would make him by far the strongest character, I enjoy the ability to switch character (My own running story is that they all camp out together! \o/).

Otherwise longest time alive = wilson everytime.

Well that depends entirely on how you play Wilson. For example I played him until Day ~40, when he died due to "darkness" (well spider suicide attack, but that was prompted by the fact that I knew the Grue was going to eat me anyway) and wouldn't you know it, I never got around to craft a Meat Effigy.

After Wilso died the XP unlocked Willow and Wendy... so I chose Wendy and I've been playing her ever since. I'm not sure, but I think I'm on Day ~225.

Of course, overall, Wilson does have the best chances to live the longest, especially once you do start building Meat Effigies. However, before that happens he has just as much a chance to die as everyone else.
