thepower23 Posted December 19, 2014 Share Posted December 19, 2014 I'm here to suggest a bug fix. So exactly what happened was I installed the game on Steam. I just opened it and I wanted to play on the server my friend made. I selected it and clicked the join button and then after a couple secs of loading, the music dies out then an error message pops up and giving me the options to either go to the forums or exit the game. I attached a screenshot of the error message. I ran it on a Windows 8 Virtual Machine using Parallels software. I use a Macbook Air with 1.4-2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM and Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB. I know that macs aren't meant to be used for games and so on but it's a laptop and it's good enough for most of the games I've played. I'd also like to request a mac version of the beta up and running on behalf of me and other mac users. If its just your friends it may be a firewall issue or a port issue. Seems like it's server sided from the error. Right now, I'd just like to know from the devs if there's going to be a version for mac when it comes out of beta. I bought this based on its sole purpose; to play multiplayer, have fun and not die and rage so much after seeing all ur hard work lost in the middle of nowhere (if ya forgot to check the map). I haven't tried LAN yet so maybe that could work. Anyways and answer from the devs is more joy for me. Like Don't Starve's single-player, the code can mostly run on all platforms, they just need to do some tweaks to it for each. Mac and Linux support will definitely be in by release.
