HELP Change Character

I just got my keys this morning and I'm still figuring stuff out and I wanted to ask, how do you change your character while in-game (and get their special item(if they have one))? I was told by someone on steam that you have to delete your character using the remove console command but after I do that my entire screens goes black and the entire game is generally unresponsive.

You have to use conosle commands.

It says the same thing as I've tried before - remove my character via console commands, but that causes my screen to go black and nothing else happens. 

EDIT: Actually, using that command in that thread just does nothing, this one

 

TheInput:GetWorldEntityUnderMouse():Remove()​

 

that I've been using so far just makes the entire screen black.

Ye, this used to work but it broke a few hotfixes ago. Hopefully something similar will come back in the future.

I see you already found it though I assume you are the host or with the host to do it. But it apparently does not work at the moment anyways. Like Cpt said, hopefully it'll be soon that they allow this feature again.
