pokebirds
so, i have heard rumors about a winter update coming up, and i was thinking, "what happens when wilson gets frostbite?" and thats when i thought of KNITTING. the yarn could be made out of beefalo wool, and knitting needles could be made of 2 sticks and maybe rocks ( for sharpening needles) and you would use a certain amount of yarn to make a sweater and scarf. it would prevent frost bite! but if the rumors arn't true, it could just be for custimization!what do you think? jujubomber
Hmmm, it is interesting. I have seen similar threads in regards to winter clothing, though I believe in terms of getting pelts? My memory is a bit hazy there. Anyways, that aside, I like the new craftable item you bring up. My only issue is that for some of the clothing, it seems like it needs another slot which isn't in existence currently. pokebirds
....true, true...maybe the clothes could be one item, and when you equip it you just randomly get a scarf too. i don't know! mobius187
Pelts have been suggested, for existing animals like rabbits, to new animal suggestions, like the bear. Of course the idea I support is re-using an existing resource... beefalo fur. Right now you can only craft the beefalo hat with it. What I suggest, and have suggested before, is that you are able to craft a beefalo coat.My idea is based on the suggestion that during Winter the player needs to either wear a beefalo coat or stay near a fire to be warm. The warm radius for a fire would be the same as the light radius during the night. If a player doesn't wear the coat and leaves the warmth radius of a fire then they start losing Health, 1 per second, from the extreme cold. Now obviously it wouldn't be hard to stay warm, but rather the effect if more about choices. What do you wear? Your backpack or your beefalo coat? What about the log suit? Or when Sanity comes into effect, the dapper vest... it's all down to choices.
