Amulet Tweak

Forgive me if I have created this topic needlessly, as I'm new to anything forum related. It's just something that has been annoying me for a long time. I wish that amulets would have a lower % chance of being found. You see, I've been grave digging for some time and I've noticed that I have more amulets than anything else! Every 10 graves I dig, 6 of them have amulets! Am I too lucky or the % chances of finding amulets are high? I can't die anymore! I'm immortal! I have more than 40 amulets!

Nah, don't worry about it. :)

I do find that as odd... the last time Kevin spoke on the issue he mentioned that he planned to make Amulets rare because they could now resurrect the player. I would have to agree, even if the Amulet isn't as great as the Meat Effigy (in terms of not getting you killed a second time right after the first).

Personally I quite like the amulet just for the fact that you don't have to trek out to find all of your stuff again after you die. If you're quick enough you can just grab it all and flee for your life. Then again, I'm used to Minecraft, where your stuff despawns after five minutes if you don't pick it up. D:

I think OP might just be lucky - I dug about a dozen or so graves and only managed to get one amulet. Found loads of rockets, though.

Yes... and the joys of falling near lava and wondering: "Did any or all of my stuff fall into it...?" as you're running back there. :p

Glad to hear that, as Kevin suggested the Amulet really should be rare now. Now the next question, other than giving the rockets to the pig king, will there ever be a point to keeping the other graveyard junk?

I think maybe there could be a few graves together with some eerie iron fencing around it, maybe some crows and dead trees. In this graveyard some zombies or skeletons, maybe even werepigs could spawn, this would make amulet farming more difficult and enjoyable.

Sure, why not? :)

Now would this fencing prevent you from reaching the graves to dig them up... or would it just be broken sections of fence around the whole gravesite? Like fencing for a graveyard?

Nah. I think too many times people see a graveyard and naturally assume "skeletons/zombies". Right now we have ghosts, but that was as a measure to prevent players from harvesting high-RP items at no risk. When the old RP system is abandoned then players won't have as much need to harvest graves and this may change.

Now I wouldn't be against some new/unique "creatures of the night" haunting the areas around graves...
