My idea is to implant genitals into the beasts that live on the island, giving them the power of multiplying.

As to be frank, You can't just do GENOCIDE just because of the fact beefalo's don't reproduce, Or bees.

'It would make survival much easier' Well bulldoodie, That doesn't meant animals should just go extinct because they deny their inner feelings. I think it'd provide abit more realistic feel to the game, Like the world around you actually spins, That the creatures gather in numbers, But still kept in check so that they don't overpopulate.

I guess there would be a limit to how much each species could have members in one island area.

*cough* Well anatomy issues aside, I'm of the opinion that the various animals in the game will be able to have babies. We already know tallbirds lay eggs and those eggs can hatch into smallbirds. It's only a matter of time before tallbirds will hatch their own eggs and smallbirds will grow into tallbirds.

As for beefalo, there has been hints that their behavior (AI) will change, maybe based on the season. It beefalo are given a mating season then maybe this is when baby beefalo could spawn into the game and eventually grow into adult beefalo.

I'm not sure a birth/growth cycle is really needed for any other existing animal or monster in the game, however I felt that rabbits which are killed shouldn't respawn from their associated rabbit hole until a couple of days have passed.

But yes, right now I'm not attacking beefalo or tallbirds until I can safely avoid bringing genocide to their race. I mean, it's not even fun when it's too easy...

Indeed! Plus, The bees should be able to rebuild a hive, That is, If you don't use your net to trap all of them from their colony.

Yes , currently , the beefalo hat is going to do something when a "beefalo mating season" starts , It'll probably make it so that beefalo around you can reproduce without being enbarrased/worried that your right next to them , though if they get too close , they could figure you out , meaning just walk away whenever they come.

Maybe among the bees, we have honey and killer, there can be another type of bee... the queen bee. It could spawn from a wild bee hive and create a new hive elsewhere.

I also assumed that the beefalo hat was connected to the beefalo's "new behavior". However my guess was that the beefalo would be hostile if you approached baby beefalo, to protect them. And if you wore the beefalo hat they mistook you for a baby beefalo. Then, if beefalo's ever produce milk, then by the same terms you could now collect it.

i was a little disappointed in not having stumbled across a baby beefalo, i thought it would have bee adorable... but.. yeah... i also think this could be used for the pigmen, why isn't there a pigwoman? as for the rabbits, i personally think there should be more, considering you start on an island that is populated by them.... haven't you heard of the phrase "Humping like Rabbits"? it's called that for a reason, Rabbits have a tendency to over populate....
