Wilson closed his eyes, pondering for a moment.

"Inject... wasn't really the right word to use."

He pulled a sleep dart out of the pack.

"You've been here for a while, haven't you? Or else you would have this many healing items readily available. Have you ever made one of these?" He says holding the dart up for him to see.

Wilson furrows his brow.

"Hmm... I was hoping you had. You would know what it does if you had. It's coated in a substance that acts much like a tranquilizer. Look, I know you have no reason to believe me, but if we wanted to hurt you we could have easily done it already."

Wekesa watched the two familiar flesh pods converse with the two smaller flesh pods. (Even if one of them didn't look to be made if flesh, it had a different feel to it)

Cypress knew not to accept things from strangers, nevertheless drugs... What the weird haired one said was true, they could have already attacked by now. Cypress knew Wy would leave her alone with these people either, she should be safe until she woke up. "L-let them do it... "

Wilson nods and bends down next to her. He gently takes her arm and finds a vein, putting the tip of the dart in as carefully as he can. It hurts, about as much as a shot would, but the effect starts almost immediately. Then she lights on fire because Wilson used a fire dart by accident.

Athena still sat on the ground, staring at Wy with shock and fear. It looked like she hadn't moved since Wy changed his arm into a sword. Wilson was also reminded of Athena, and looked over at her, a little bit of concern showing on his face.

"Athena? Are you alright?"

"T-t..."

<Strange. She looks similar to how she did last night...>

Wilson glances between Athena and Wy.

<Perhaps it has something to do with what the boy is made of. It does sort of remind me of the creature in the dark.>

"Athena, it's alright. He's not going to hurt us."

She knew that. She knew the boy wasn't going to hurt her. Why was she still scared? Why couldn't she look away? Why couldn't she think? Trembling, she managed to get one word past her lips.

"T-taint."

"Perhaps you should go a little ways off and start picking reeds." Wilson suggests as he helps Athena to her feet. She nods shakily and manages to make her way a little bit into the reeds path and slowly start picking. The fear starts to fade away and she grows more steady, but a nagging feeling still persists in the back of her mind.

Satisfied with Athena starting to function again, Wilson turns back to the boy.

"I'm afraid I didn't catch your name. I am Wilson P. Higgsbury."

"Alright then, Wy. You should probably clean up a little."

Wilson reaches into his pack and retrieves a few squares of woven silk and hands them to Wy.

"I'm not sure either... it was similar to what happened last night. I think it has something to do with what he's made of."

(Hey @Percival, are you still in this? Are you going to use Meredith, introduce a different character, or have you just given up because there's freakin' 64 PAGES OF NOTHINGNESS! HOW DID THIS EVEN HAPPEN!??!?)

"Understood. Although,"

He pulls out his map.

"Would you mind marking the location of your camp on my map? I want to leave it with Athena in case she decides to come after she's picked a good amount of reeds. I can understand if you don't, but I'd like to know that she can find me."

Wilson takes the map and nods.

"I'll be right back."

Walking a little ways into the patch, Wilson finds Athena and Wekesa talking.

"Athena, I'm going to accompany Wy and the girl back to their camp until she wakes up. Here is my map. His camp and a safe path out of the swamp is mark on it. You can come check on me when you're done or go back to my camp to tell the others what happened."

Athena nods and takes the map. (Boy, Wilson and Athena sure do a lot of nodding...)

"Wekesa, I would appreciate if you'd stay near Athena and look out for her. There might be some food in it for you if you do."
