Dr Pedler still in the game?

Ok so i just bought the game, and I'm having a great time, unlocked Shalam (however you spell it) and nearly unlocked the next thing, but apon looking at the shadow previews of the characters i noticed none of them looked like Dr Pedler. I knew what Dr Pedler looked like because i watched some gameplay of Invisible Inc around 17th June 2014 and he was part of the ACME team.

So my question is, was he removed ( as his gameplay seems to be somewhat like nternationalle's) or is he still in the game in someway? (I'm asking because i love his design and abilities and would love to know if there is some way to access him, though i haven't gotten too far yet due to new-ness and i want to know if i should look out for anything)

Dr Pedler doesn't exist in the current build, but I heard a while back that the devs were planning to bring him back at some point.

I miss the robot too. but they split his powers for balance apparently and gave the interface to Internationale and the knockout to Banks.

 

With the game revised as it is with AP only, I'm curious how the new Dr. Pedler will be once he is released?
