Experienced Don't Starve Let's Plays

First and foremost, I would like to point out that this is my very first Let's Play ever. I would really like to continue making videos, so I figured I would advertise myself on the forums here. Here's to hoping everything goes the way I'd like it to and everyone enjoys the content I put out.

 

Now, there's a few things I would like to say before I post the link to the first video and a few of these will be in the description as well.

 

1. I will be playing as EVERY character, starting with Wilson, until death or escape; whichever happens first.

 

2. There isn't any commentary, however, if the public demands that I play with commentary, the next character I play will include it.

 

3. I'm playing with mods, so if you're curious as to which ones I'm using; feel free to leave a comment on the video and I will include all of them in the description. Also, if you would rather see me play without mods, I can make that happen as well.

 

4. I would consider myself a pretty decent Don't Starve player, however there are many things that I'm still learning about, so if you notice something that I'm doing right or wrong, please let me know. The more tips and tricks the community throws my way, the better I'll become, and the better the content I put out will be.

 

5. I only have one video up at the moment, but I have 4-5 being worked on right now. So, if you enjoy the first video, subscribe to my channel to be notified when I put up another video.

 

I'd like to thank everyone who watches the video/subscribes/leaves a comment. You guys are gonna be the fuel for this little machine and I can't wait to see what my future on youtube holds for me.

Just watched it ! I was hoping for some audio commentaries, especially since the first few days of gathering ressources are a bit more boring (especially to watch on a let's play). However, it will undoubtedly become more interesting as you begin to setup a camp and confront the different hostilities that Mawwell throws at you =)  I will follow this series ! Looking forward to see the next episode.

 

Are you planning on doing some cave/ruins exploration in the future ?

Yes, I do plan on doing some cave stuff. And thank you for letting me know about the commentary. Seeing as the first two people that commented here have said something about it, the next character I play will include commentary, just to keep things a little less boring, as Neo said.

Alright, so I've got 5 episodes already recorded, two of which still need to be uploaded. I've also decided teh next batch of videos will contain commentary due to my realization on how boring it must be to watch without it. So, after the last two videos are uploaded, from then on every video I record will have commentary. I figure it couldn't hurt my career as a youtuber.

Instead of starting an entirely new thread, I decided to just post this here. I'm thinking about starting a "Don't Starve Survival Guide" to help new players, but before I begin recording, I would like to know if anyone would be interested in the idea. I realize that there are tons of guides and tutorials out there, but I feel I could bring something new to the table seeing as everyone plays differently. If you think I should go for it, let me know; otherwise, I will just continue the Let's Plays.

I would also like to point out that this is the first time I've ever had a Let's Play, not to mention the first time I've done commentary. So, expect the quality of the commentary to increase as the series moves on and I become more comfortable behind the microphone.
